The tourist map shows Cameron Highlands as a stretch of towns connected by a main road from Ringlet, the base town, going through Tanah Rata, the biggest, followed by Brinchang, the most popular and finally all the way down to Kampung Raja, where it forks into two opposite directions heading either to Ipoh (Simpang Pulai) or Kelantan (Gua Musang). Most of the attractions and places to visit are concentrated around the Brinchang area, while Tanah Rata is the commercial center.
