Jim Thompson Moonlight Bungalow
The Moonlight Bungalow is a brick cottage hidden away on a secluded hilltop, located not far off the main road opposite the golf course. It was once the home of famed Thai silk trader Jim Thompson, who was last seen at this house before he vanished in 1967. As a former US military intelligence officer, many conspiracy theories were put up regarding his disappearance, as an extensive search by military, police and aborigines revealed nothing.Today, the talk still continues, perpetuated by tourist brochures, books and guides as a good story is always worth some money. A charming residence, the house still looks solid after so many years, and is up for sale at MYR3.8 million.
