The Lakehouse is a colonial mansion and luxury resort in Ringlet, just a few km after town, along the main road and facing a large dam. Perched on a hill top, the Lakehouse is a fine example of Tudor architecture and a cosy place to experience English styled living. Built in 1970 by retired army office Colonel Stanley Jack Forster, Lakehouse started life as a boutique hotel, but was later sold to a private company which now runs the mansion. It's one of the most expensive hotels in Cameron Highlands, but receives its fair share of rich guests attracted by its quaint interiors and continental appeal. The hotel also has a fine dining restaurant and lounge, served by tuxedo-clad butlers.
