The Robinson Falls is a scenic waterfall in Tanah Rata. While polluted with drain water from farms and a stench that permeates the air surrounding it, the waterfalls still looks pleasant and nice to photograph compared with Parit Falls, also in Tanah Rata. The steep terrain and landscape around the waterfalls prevent people from swimming in. A paved walkaway that is very slippery when wet leads from the top to the falls, which lie somewhere below. Because of its relatively remote location, not many visitors find their way here without directions from Tanah Rata Town. However, it's worth a photograph for the beauty of its drop and surrounding forest. From the waterfalls, the paved trail will give way to a dirt path that gets soft and muddy when it rains heavily. This trail leads to the many jungle walks around Tanah Rata, and while easy, are much further than they look. Portion half a day if you want to explore the trails. |
